On October 20, 2023 the Academy U21 player departed for England to participate in football trials. The 19 year old expressed that he felt excited heading to England and he's looking forward to "make it".
"We're really happy that he's finally getting this opportunity and I know that he will make us proud." commented Saqlain Wildman, Head of School for the Academy.
Jarrell's manager Ricardo Williams further added that he is very happy and hopes that he [Jarrell] works hard and enjoys his time.
In a letter to LAX News, LAX Academy stated that this exit trial was confirmed weeks ago but was one of the Academy's best kept secret. Although it was not until two days before his departure that it was announced at training, the boys showed their excitement through cheering him on, applauding, and offering words of encouragement.
Jarrell is expected to be in Manchester for two weeks before returning to Jamaica with a decision on his future.
