LAX FC Appoints Oliver Grant as Men’s Assistant Coach

LAX FC is proud to announce the signing of Oliver Grant as the club’s new Assistant Coach, further strengthening our commitment to elite player development, high performance standards, and long-term growth.

Oliver Grant is a UEFA Licensed Coach with a strong background in youth development, performance analysis, and talent identification. Educated in Wales, Oliver has built a modern coaching profile that blends European methodology with the demands of the American soccer landscape.

Most recently, Oliver served as Assistant Coach for Miami FC’s U19 team, where he played a key role in training design, match preparation, player development, and talent identification. Working closely with elite youth players, he contributed to individualized development plans, tactical preparation, and the creation of a high-performance learning environment that prepares players for the next level of the game.

Prior to Miami FC, Oliver was the Head Coach of the Royal Palm Beach Strikers U19, overseeing all aspects of the program. In that role, he led technical and tactical development, matchday preparation, player evaluation, and communication with players and parents, while fostering a positive, growth-focused culture.

As LAX FC’s Assistant Coach, Oliver will focus on:

• Supporting player development pathways

• Ensuring training standards align with the club’s principles of play

• Enhancing technical, tactical, and psychological growth

• Assisting with talent identification and performance evaluation

• Providing structured feedback and development oversight across the program

Oliver brings a player-centered coaching philosophy, specializing in innovative session design, small-sided games, and the integration of sports psychology to maximize individual and team performance. His qualifications include the UEFA C License, USSF Grassroots Licenses, FAW Talent Identification, and multiple PFSA certifications in performance analysis and opposition analysis, reflecting his dedication to continuous professional development.
